American singer-songwriter, TIANA KOCHER was born in Manila, Philippines in 1999. Her debut record “Just My Type”, produced by The Co-Captains in Hollywood, hit the Top40 Indie Chart. Her latest music has been produced by an eclectic team of renowned Los Angeles-based record producers.
Predominantly influenced by the 90s contemporary RnB era in music, TIANA radiates a warm confident voice and eclectic vibrant sound. Common themes in her music encompass love, in all its forms, from romantic to friendships combined with bold textures and rhythms.
From Manila to Los Angeles, TIANA transitioned to the entertainment capital in 2018, in order to cement her career in music. Since signing with Manila Music, TIANA has collaborated with several GRAMMY award-winning recording artists including TLC, Faith Evans, Sage the Gemini and Latin artist J. Alvarez among others, as well as multiple award-winning songwriters in both mainstream pop and RnB for her new album, set to release later this year.
From an early age, TIANA exhibited a passion for the performing arts. She attended a musical theater camp, which introduced her to Broadway and West End musicals, and often wrote lyrical stories as an outlet for personal expression. With her talent for theatre blossoming, TIANA went on to portray Glinda in The Wizard of Oz, Rapunzel in Into The Woods, and Serena in Legally Blonde the Musical during her High School years.
Although singing played a big part in TIANA’s life, her parents were keen for her to have a more balanced perspective. She was enrolled into various sporting activities, including soccer and softball, and for several years, TIANA’s sporting life ran concurrently to singing.
On graduating high school in the Philippines, TIANA honed her talent at the prestigious Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts in the United Kingdom. The intensive two-year accelerated course, in which TIANA was awarded the impressive Royal Academy of Dramatic Art Shakespeare Award, on two occasions, refined her skills in acting, voice and dance.
When TIANA isn’t in the studio or rehearsing, she loves exploring, spending time with her Corgi dog or revitalizing by the ocean and has an avid interest in photography and fashion. She is inspired by the opulent fabrics and designs of Rosie Assoulin, avant-garde Parisienne designer Hedi Slimane, as well as visionaries Riccardo Tisci and Virgil Abloh.
